I think this is a disease, since it is happening to all my roses. The few buds that open up are small flowers with brown shriveled, stunted edges.
It’s those leaf-cutter bees that leave holes in the rose petals. Is there something I can spray on the roses to prevent this from happening?

She likes blue. She hates roses. And she isn’t the daisy type. I sent her a cactus flower last year, which she promptly set outside and hasn’t looked at it sense except when I pointed out that there were flowers blooming on it. They would have to be ordered online for delivery, because the nearest florist is about 30 miles away and she always goes into town when I go, so it wouldn’t be a surprise. So, you might as well suggest a site if you think they would deliver to the boon-docks.

There are 18 roses all together, 9 pink and 9 red. They have been in the ground since March 1st. I noticed a few whiteflies and aphids 2 weeks ago. Since they were do for their first fertilizer, I gave them all a half of treatment of Bayer 2 in one systemic feed and protect for roses. They are all blooming and have doubled in growth since planting, and generally look beautiful, but today I still see a few whiteflies and even more aphids.
Is it safe to spray them with like diazon already? I don’t want to harm the plants but at the same time, I don’t want those little green boogers (aphids) on my plants either. I appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

I bought 5 rose bushes. 3 are really small and the other two are 3 feet in height. One of the large ones had a rose on it when I bought it. Since then the flower died and I have not seen any new flowers on any of the plants since. All of my plants are in full sun. Is there some kind of plant food it needs? Some kind of trick? I see roses bloom for people all summer long. I want that to happen.

I have wild (feral – probably formerly tame) roses growing in the shade caused by tall locust trees. Increasing light is not a choice. Anything I can do to help them bloom?
As the locust trees are about 40 feet tall, I can only assume that the roses were planted first, when it was sunny — maybe 30 years ago? Is there anyway to identify the breed of these without the blooms?

I am trying to choose flowers for my wedding and i love the look of roses, but they’re just to expensive. I need something similar that can be dyed or that comes in black, purple and or white.
