I have a "brown thumb" but I know I can do this, with the help of those gardeners out there in this website. I had these two roses (from a bouquet) for two weeks and I think I can make them grow roots. If so, how long do I have to wait? I just wonder if I have to use some kind of fertilizer for the water… please advice me.

We just built a pergola and planted climbing roses of a hearty old rose type, and want to ensure we keep them healthy. We refuse to use any chemicals, and make our own compost and use rabbit pen droppings as fertilizer. They are growing well, but one of my nearby rose bushes has something eating at the leaves, leaving them with little holes in them. What can I do to prevent this?

There are 18 roses all together, 9 pink and 9 red. They have been in the ground since March 1st. I noticed a few whiteflies and aphids 2 weeks ago. Since they were do for their first fertilizer, I gave them all a half of treatment of Bayer 2 in one systemic feed and protect for roses. They are all blooming and have doubled in growth since planting, and generally look beautiful, but today I still see a few whiteflies and even more aphids.
Is it safe to spray them with like diazon already? I don’t want to harm the plants but at the same time, I don’t want those little green boogers (aphids) on my plants either. I appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!
