My mother passed away three months ago, and this is my first Mother’s Day without her. In keeping with tradition, at least for this year, I would like to bring her the same huge bouquet of roses that I have brought her every year in the past.
I don’t want to simply leave the roses lying down on the ground, and a vase would too easily be knocked over by the wind and possibly broken.
Any suggestions on how best to leave roses at the cemetery? I asked my local florist for ideas, but she came up blank.

Some cemeteries actually have in ground vases at each grave site, a Little hole in the ground where you can place the flowers down inside and just the bouquet sticks up, to the stems. If your mom’s grave doesn’t have that, then I would suggest getting a "hand tied bouquet" usually used for bridal bouquets, but could work in this case. The flowers are bound together at the stems, wrapped with a pretty ribbon. You could leave the roses on her grave like that, and they’ll stay together and look real pretty.
Or, you can have the roses arranged in a flat bouquet, like for a casket, where they’ll lie flat on the grave.
My Condolences on the passing of your mom.
