I think this is a disease, since it is happening to all my roses. The few buds that open up are small flowers with brown shriveled, stunted edges.
I am the maid of honor and have been asked for help by the bride. Due to family politics, a 3-year old girl will be in the ceremony against the bride’s will. She does not want flowers thrown, but doesn’t know what else to have the little girl do. The wedding is a Caribbean destination wedding on the beach. Any suggestions?

It’s those leaf-cutter bees that leave holes in the rose petals. Is there something I can spray on the roses to prevent this from happening?

I just saw a cool christmas craft on tv. White paper flowers on a styrofoam tree shape. Use some white branches randomly on the sides and place a single chocolate cupcake on the branch here and there. They also used the white flowers in a 2 big bowls on either side of the tree! Would look great on my table but I never made tissue paper flowers.

My future sister-in-law is having a wedding and she made me matron of honor. Since, as we all know, money’s tight everywhere I’m planning it with her help. She likes ivory mini calla lilies and wants them for her wedding but i cant think of what flowers would look good with them. Her colors are champagne, pink, and red. Any suggestions or helpful tips that would assist in my floral selections and other wedding aspects?

She likes blue. She hates roses. And she isn’t the daisy type. I sent her a cactus flower last year, which she promptly set outside and hasn’t looked at it sense except when I pointed out that there were flowers blooming on it. They would have to be ordered online for delivery, because the nearest florist is about 30 miles away and she always goes into town when I go, so it wouldn’t be a surprise. So, you might as well suggest a site if you think they would deliver to the boon-docks.

Hi I am needing a little help with the decor of this venue. It is a very industrial space (it used to be an old boiler room, now converted to a restaurant) with exposed brick, high ceilings, etc. We would be getting married in May 2011. What colors do you think would work best with this venue? And what color flowers/kind of flowers do you like with this space? Would you use candles? Also, would you do uplighting or any other kind of lighting to make it more wedding-ish, or leave it the way it is?

What types of flowers or other plants make a garden look better? It doesn’t have to be just flowers, too. All kinds of things, like bricks for the edges, for example?
