  • What type of flowers can I plant in my planter for full shade?

    Flowers 29.04.2010 3 Comments

I have a 16 inch pot with a planter stand that sets down in it with about a 8 inch pot at the top of it. I need some flowers that are really colorful, but have to be able to take full shade. I am looking for something to be very ful but still hanging over the pot at the bottom and them something at the top pot that is standing tall in the center and another flower to hang from the sides on it as well. I am not very good with flowers so links to photos of them would be wonderful!! PLEASE help!

  • Easter is always on a Sunday but Christmas is always on the 25th

    Holidays 27.04.2010 8 Comments

Why is it that Easter always is on a Sunday, so it can fall on a different date year to year, but for Christmas there is a specific date pinned down, December 25, no matter what day of the week it falls on? Just curious.

    Flowers 25.04.2010 6 Comments

The flower bed is just filled up with dirt, weeds, and little pcs of rock. First I need to clean it out I guess but do I use the dirt that’s already in there or do put soil down? If you want to know, I live in Charlotte, NC (Zone 7). I want to plant perennial flowers. I’m new to gardening and want to know how prepare the flower bed, what type of soil I need (if necessary) and any tips on types of flowers to plant. Thanks alot!
